Electro chlorinator 

Our electro chlorination systems for onsite generation of chlorine is in the form of sodium hypochlorite solution by electrolysis of common salt. This solution being safe to handle and inexpensive, is conveniently used in broad spectrum of water chlorination applications.

The Process

Salt solution (brine) is electrolyzed by making it flow inside an electrode pack (anodes and cathodes) , which are energized with D.C.current. Chlorine is discharged at the anodes and a small quantity of hydrogen as at the cathodes. The DC power supply unit.

Rectifier – Transformer is supplied as part of the electro chlorination system. Chlorine does not evolve as a gas but is available is dissolved form as hypochlorite solution, which is the reason why it is safe to handle.

The hydrogen gas is ventured to the atmosphere. This hypochlorite solution, when added to water, has the same biocide and oxidizing power of equivalent chlorine gas and provides the same degree of disinfection.
